Stein Brothers Hot Sauce is a true family brand that Gabe, his brother Eric, and his two best friends — Matthew Marshall and Erik Ballard — built right here in Saint Louis. Formed by four brothers who were fed up with the typical, they designed the extraordinary with their customers’ vitality as the top priority.

Gabe is a Lindenwood University alumnus; he wrestled for the Lions and also fought professional MMA — so grit, discipline, and taking care of people have always been part of his life. His older brother Eric has special needs, and he’s Gabe’s why in everything. Gabe takes care of him full-time, and this business lets him keep Eric by his side while creating something they’re all proud of.

Matthew is a tech guy and entrepreneur — and COO — who helped turn this from a kitchen project into a real business and keeps the operation running so the sauces reach more tables. Erik Ballard has been one of the four from the start.
